With a population of only 3 million people, Uruguay is one of South America's best-kept secrets — a safe, welcoming, and beautiful country where quality of life comes first.
The country is quickly becoming one of South America’s top destinations for digital nomads: progressive, forward-thinking and full of European charm blended with Latin warmth. It’s actually one of the most peaceful countries in Latin America and the smallest Spanish-speaking country on the continent.
In Uruguay, you can enjoy political stability, a reliable infrastructure, and a lifestyle that’s both relaxed and inspiring. You’ll have everything you need to work comfortably: high-speed internet, modern coworking spaces, a friendly visa policy, and plenty of sunshine to brighten your days.
If you’re looking for more than just a place to work — if you want a place to live well — Uruguay offers the perfect balance of comfort, authenticity, and inspiration.

Hi! I'm Lu! I’m a digital nomad and a passionate community builder!
In February 2025, I embarked on my first digital nomad adventure to South Africa, a true turning point in my life.
Spending two months in the gorgeous city of Cape Town, surrounded by a vibrant community of remote workers and entrepreneurs, was one of the most inspiring experiences of my life and the beginning of my semi-nomadic journey!
A few months later, I decided to embark on a new exciting adventure and spent 4 months traveling across Europe, co-living and co-working with other nomads in Lisbon, Porto, Ericeira, Madeira, the Algarve and the Swiss Alps. Along the way, I met incredible people from all over the world who share the same passion for blending work, travel, and community.
Back in Uruguay now for a while, I’m on a mission to enable fellow nomads enjoy the magic of workations in my beautiful homeland. ✨🇺🇾
I look very much forward to meeting you soon and making sure you have a great time here! ❤️
